This is truly the Japanese Leviathan!  I love this vintage-inspired timepiece! They don't just call it the "Emperor" for no reason.  Those rose-gold accents really add that luxury on an otherwise purpose-built tool watch..

Dunn's Assessment:
It's hard not to love this monster of the deep oceans. Symmetrical hour markers with date-window at 4'oclock, extremely bright lumes, and large hands make this watch so legible.  This watch is for the adventurer or a very bold person in a suit!

Story behind the watch:
Seiko has an undeniably long history of diver's watches. The "Tuna" was first unveiled in 1975 and since then has been constantly improving their quality for this lineup. Seiko's SBDX014 model was first launched in 2015 to celebrate 50 years of dive watches. Ours comes with the the original (unused) accordion-style black silicone strap. It also includes a few other leather straps as listed below. This model is one of the last truly best of the highly popular MarineMaster series of dive watches.

One Unused 70+ year old authentic Japanese Canvas material from the WW2 era made from material used to cover Japanese war supplies with rose-gold colored buckle.
• Caliber: Automatic Seiko calibre 8L35. Developed, designed, manufactured and assembled fully in-house, at the Shizuku-ishi Watch Studio.
